Position Description

The Risk Analyst is responsible for assisting the Director, Risk Management and Personal Lines Risk Leader with identifying, assessing, and monitoring potential risks that could impact the organization’s performance, operations, or reputation. They use data analytics and reporting tools to assist with strategies that mitigate exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred in a Risk Management department, an insurance company or broke
• Knowledge of commercial and personal lines insurance programs 
• Working knowledge of risk management/risk mitigation concepts 
• Ability to analyze risk metrics and claims data
• Advanced communications skills and ability to interface with stakeholders ranging from Directors to C-Suite executives
• Ability to work with a degree of autonomy 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products 
• Possesses exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day assistance with Operating Companies and insurance brokers/insurers
• Answer insurance related questions from Op Cos and broker/insurer requests for information related to the Op Cos
• Request exposure information for each insurance renewal from the Op Cos and consolidate it into a form that can be shared with brokers/insurers
• Analyze claim data, create reports and submit ideas to mitigate losses based on the data
• End of month invoicing to Op Cos based on their claim activity in that month
• Allocate premium out to the Op Cos based off exposure and loss history for each line of coverage
• Fulfill certificate of insurance and auto ID card request from the Op Cos
• Assist with personal lines and small business renewals by gathering data from Family members and submitting to the broker
• Review and file endorsements, policies, etc. to ensure the policies/endorsements are correct and file in Riskonnect and SharePoint 
• Provide support on the commercial bond program by submitting new bonds to the Surety company that have been requested by the Op Cos
• Review policy language to confirm it matches what the binder says
