Position Description

The Employee Relations Lead will be a trusted partner overseeing key policy and employee relations matters. This advisor will support leaders in the corporate office on topics including performance management, policy interpretation and application, investigations and accommodations. This role will provide subject matter expertise to enterprise portfolio businesses as needed and develop training on best practices in the employee relations space. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource to HR Business Partners, COE’s and company leadership with regard to ADA, FMLA, EEO, discrimination and harassment compliance
  • Conduct internal investigations in a thorough and unbiased manner, providing recommendations for resolution in line with internal policy, company values and applicable employment law
  • Oversees the Navex EthicsPoint system and providing communication and training on the platform as needed
  • Leads the Accommodations process as requests arise, handling matters with care and confidentiality
  • Track, analyze, and report employee relations trends to inform proactive strategies and organizational improvements
  • Provide subject matter expertise and direction to HR Business Partners in the development and execution of Performance Plans, and in supporting with the impact of reorganizations and job eliminations
  • Partners with People and Culture team to analyze exit interviews and survey data to address trends and areas to improve compliance knowledge throughout
    the organization
  • Provide thought leadership to operating businesses based on trends monitored via EthicsPoint and stakeholder feedback
  • Set cadence and procedure for regular policy handbook review and updates to ensure compliance with latest regulatory matters and business needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or JD preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years focusing on Employee Relations, Labor Relations or similar
  • Demonstrated expertise in investigations, employment law, and policy management.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, etc.).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide practical guidance to leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Experience managing sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong presentation and training skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and trends to identify proactive solutions.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or other HR compliance-related credentials preferred.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively develop trust with a variety of stakeholders
