About the Role
Our clients are establishing a new Luxembourg-based SPF (Société de gestion de patrimoine familial) as part of a long-term investment platform for the family office.
The company will operate under a discretionary investment mandate, with a clear governance framework and close collaboration with the board of Directors.
We are now seeking a highly experienced CEO/General Manager to lead the company’s operations from Luxembourg on a full-time basis.
The role combines administrative leadership, financial control, risk management, corporate governance and compliance. You will serve as the legal and operational head of the company and act as a key liaison with the board, ownership group, and external advisors.
This opportunity is a hands-on leadership role for a senior finance professional with strong execution skills, high integrity, and the ability to run a lean and professional investment entity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the SPF in accordance with Luxembourg law and the company’s internal governance framework
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in collaboration with external accounting providers and auditors
- Oversee treasury and liquidity management:
- Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet obligations and execute investments
- Manage banking relationships, including negotiating loans and other financial services
- Lead financial risk management; help define and monitor the company's risk tolerance and exposure
- Prepare and analyse financial reports to the board; maintain transparent, timely, and accurate reporting
- Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies
- Organise and support the work of the board in close cooperation with the Chair
- Contribute to the development of the investment strategy and ensure its implementation in collaboration with the Asset Manager
- Serve as direct manager for the Asset Manager and any future employees
- Handle practical administrative matters, including lease agreements, capital calls in private equity funds, and other operational processes
- Maintain and implement the company’s governance framework, including its investment strategy and delegated authorities, which will be reviewed and updated annually
- Contribute with expertise and capacity to the non-profit organisation (name TBD)
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of professional experience, including 5–10 years as CFO, controller, or in a similar financial leadership role
- Strong understanding of financial management, accounting, reporting, and treasury functions
- Solid experience with risk management, compliance, and governance processes
- Familiarity with Luxembourg’s legal and financial environment (experience with SPF structures is an advantage)
- Previous experience from a family office, investment company, or asset-heavy structures is an advantage
- Trustworthy with a high level of integrity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Structured, hands-on, and comfortable working independently in a lean setup
- Fluent in English; French, German or Luxembourgish is a plus
