Job Description
A leading Swiss private bank is seeking a Senior Wealth Planner to advise UHNW clients on complex cross-border wealth, succession, and estate planning matters, with a primary focus on Switzerland and international private clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide wealth planning advice to private clients and family offices, with a focus on Swiss-related matters and cross-border situations
- Support business development efforts by identifying and originating wealth planning opportunities
- Act as a subject matter expert on succession planning, estate structuring, family governance, and wealth transfer strategies
- Advise on trusts, foundations, family offices, holding structures, insurance solutions, and philanthropic initiatives
- Support the planning and disposition of closely held businesses and complex family wealth structures
- Coordinate with clients' external advisors, including legal, tax, fiduciary, and accounting professionals
- Assist relationship managers by providing technical expertise and delivering wealth planning training sessions
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and the development of wealth planning materials and presentations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across legal, tax, pensions, compliance, and investment teams
- Support onboarding and relationship management of external counterparties, including insurance providers
- Monitor and maintain compliance with internal governance, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with performance tracking, reporting, and administrative activities related to the wealth planning function
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in wealth planning, private client advisory, legal, tax, or fiduciary services with a strong Swiss focus
- Proven client-facing experience advising HNW and UHNW individuals, entrepreneurs, and family offices
- Strong expertise in succession planning, estate planning, trusts, foundations, and multi-jurisdictional wealth structures
- Solid understanding of cross-border regulatory and wealth planning considerations
- Experience with family office formation, governance structures, and philanthropic planning
- Good knowledge of insurance-based wealth planning solutions
- Ability to originate opportunities and independently manage client relationships from inception through implementation
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial mindset combined with a highly client-centric approach
- Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented personality with strong attention to detail
- High level of integrity, discretion, and risk awareness
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams
- Knowledge of financial markets and corporate structuring is advantageous but not essential
