Introduction

This is an opportunity to join a well-established family office and team which is growing rapidly. We require an assistant to provide an efficient administrative support function to two advisers. In this role you will assist with processing transactions, dealing with clients directly, looking after accounts and support in basic financial planning.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain good working relationships
  • Compile summaries of information requested by wealth adviser in Excel
  • Gather all financial information from clients
  • Requesting / drawing life & investment quotes and preparing proposals.
  • Arrange appointments between Wealth Adviser and Clients
  • Drafting and sending out reviews.
  • Calculate tax / legal implications of investments
  • Cash flow and performance calculations
  • Ensure FAIS Compliance
  • Ensure new business implementation.
  • Generate annual reports to ensure client segmentation is correct and up to date.
  • Handle and solve client enquiries (all existing business enquiries)
  • Handle new application and quotations
  • Interacting with clients by managing relationships and providing client services.
  • Load new / existing business policies
  • Maintain CRM system
  • Maintain Service Level agreement deadlines
  • Maintenance and clean-up of the My Practice database on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Manage Administrative Documentation (detailed records)
  • Manage policy renewals
  • Prepare and distribute monthly/quarterly statements
  • Prepare and implement investment proposals
  • Prepare all documentation for investment review appointments
  • Rebalance and maintain existing portfolios
  • Record details of transactions
  • Report new business statistics


Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum requirements:

  • Relevant BCom Financial Degree  
  • At least 1 โ€“ 2 years relevant work experience within the financial/Insurance industry in a similar role
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English, and at least one other of the official South African language.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and own vehicle
  • Computer literacy (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, CRMs)
