We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Development Associate to join our team in Columbia, MO.

This is a key role for a detail-oriented, driven professional who can manage and drive the real estate development process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and a proven track record in commercial or industrial real estate.

What You'll Do

  • Project Management: Manage the real estate development lifecycle for dozens of properties, simultaneously ensuring projects stay on schedule and budget. This includes overseeing all stages from initial acquisition through construction and completion.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact with external partners, including engineers, architects, general contractors, and government agencies. You will be responsible for driving follow-through on all outstanding items, such as permits and approvals.
  • Financial Coordination: Work closely with our internal Treasury team and communicate with external banks and investors to manage development projects.
  • Document & Data Management: Maintain organized and accurate records of all real estate properties and project documentation. Your strong organizational skills will be crucial for tracking project milestones and deadlines.
  • What You'll Bring
  • Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial real estate is required.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive them forward independently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel are required.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Personal Attributes: You are confident, driven, and thrive in an environment where you can take initiative and deliver results.
  • Detail-Oriented: Your ability to focus on the details will be essential for managing project-critical documentation and timelines.
