Reporting to: Director of Security / Estate Security Manager 

FLSA Status: Salaried, Non-exempt 
Location: Bentonville, AR 

 

Walton Enterprises is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and professional individual to join the team as a Protection Specialist Supervisor – Family Estate. The ideal teammate will have the demonstrated ability to oversee and deliver high-level protective services, armed security coverage as well as incident crisis response in a complex estate environment. This individual must be tactically proficient, certified to carry a firearm, medically trained, and discreet, with extensive experience in protective operations, emergency management, and family estate security. This role requires direct and frequent interaction with family members, house managers, high-profile guests, and contractors.

About the Position 

This role is responsible for maintaining the safety, privacy, and operational security of a confidential, multi-family estate. Working closely with estate leadership, law enforcement, and other protective personnel, the Protections Specialist acts as a shift supervisor for estate property Security Operations Center and Patrol staff, directs surveillance detection operations, provides armed protection, conducts threat analysis, and oversees incident and emergency coordination. This role may also lead protective intelligence efforts, policy and training development, or support protective operations for the family’s travel. The role requires excellent judgment, advanced technical competency, and the ability to lead during high-pressure incidents. This position includes rotating shifts, with availability required for nights, weekends, and holidays. 

 

What you will do 

As a primary task, you will lead daily estate security operations, ensuring comprehensive protective coverage for family members, properties, and guests. You will exercise discretion and sound judgment while managing daily security activities, mentoring personnel, and serving as the initial responder during incidents. You will ensure readiness to respond to medical emergencies with either survival training, tactical first aid, or EMT-level certification, applying advanced skills to provide triage and stabilize individuals until higher-level medical care arrives. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Work with a team of Specialist Supervisors to oversee and coordinate daily estate protective services operations and executive protection programs using security technology platforms including CCTV, alarms, radios, and access control systems. 
  • Provide visible armed protection through patrols, escorts, and fixed post assignments, while certified and authorized to carry a firearm at all times on duty. 
  • Direct and frequently interact with family members, house managers, high-profile guests, and contractors, ensuring professional, discreet, and trusted engagement during daily operations and incident response. 
  • Exercise independent judgment in assessing risks, managing incidents, and making rapid decisions under pressure. 
  • Apply advanced training in survival skills, tactical first aid, or EMT-level care to medical incidents, perform triage, and stabilize individuals until higher care arrives or provide direction via radio for on site staff to provide medical care. 
  • Collaborate closely with law enforcement, first responders, and emergency services to maintain situations awareness and a deep understanding over the local threat environment on an ongoing basis during protective events. 
  • Lead estate-wide emergency drills and crisis planning initiatives, including “as needed” responsibilities. 
  • Maintain accurate incident documentation, logs, and reporting. 
  • Mentor and train team members in professional conduct, firearms proficiency, protective intelligence, and emergency medical response. 
  • Uphold the highest standards of privacy, confidentiality, and professional conduct while conducting investigations, threat analysis, and providing risk briefings, as well as developing and implementing policy, protocols, and standard operating procedures for protective services, access control, surveillance detection, and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications required for your success 

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in military, law enforcement, or executive protection; 5 years in an executive protection or emergency response capacity for a family office or corporate environment highly preferred   
  • Ability to secure a valid concealed carry permitmust be eligible to be certified to carry 
  • Survival training, tactical first aid certification, or EMT certification required 
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, MVR, and NDA compliance 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 

 

Additional Helpful Experience Includes 

  • De-escalation training 
  • Protective intelligence and threat analysis experience 
  • Familiarity with Ontic, Envoy, Avigilon, or similar programs 
  • Prior experience in ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) residential or estate security 
  • Familiarity with VIP event security planning and secure travel logistics 
  • Advanced CPR, First Aid, or AED certifications (beyond EMT)

Compensation Range: $129,000-$161,000

About the Property Management Department  

 

The Property Management team assists the family members with all property related activities including acquisition, design, and development. They manage a variety of properties including both personal and commercial real estate, vehicles, equipment, and other property related assets throughout the country. The Property Management team also supports the Walton Family Foundation and Walton Enterprises office buildings.
