Do you thrive in a dynamic, client-focused environment where analytics, decision-making and advisory converge? Our Family Office is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our team and partner with fantastic clients. 

The role

This exceptional opportunity is perfect for consultants seeking to develop expertise in a niche area of professional services. Reporting to the Manager of our Family Office division, you'll work in a supportive, close-knit team environment that prioritises both your technical development and relationship management skills. 

You'll gain exposure to diverse services including governance, succession planning, investment management, and philanthropic activities – all while developing both technical skills and relationship management capabilities

As an Intermediate Accountant you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare management accounts, financial statements and tax returns for family groups
  • Assist with audit queries for Self-Managed Super Funds and Private Ancillary Funds
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including ATO, ASIC, lawyers and bankers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Proactively contribution to continuous process improvement projects and initiatives.

As our ideal candidate you will also have:

  • We would showcase candidates who showcase experience of management reporting, accounting and taxation knowledge (critical requirement)
  • Tertiary/postgraduate qualification in Commerce (Accounting) or similar
  • A strong ability to build and maintain trust, rapport and relationships with stakeholders
  • Professional services experience with exposure to various structures such as companies, trusts, sole traders, Self-Managed Superannuation Funds and Private Ancillary Funds
  • Experience with domestic and foreign investments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax software (APS, Xero, FYIDocs)
  • Critical thinking and innovative problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritise and balancing  big-picture thinking
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills
  • Genuine passion for building and nurturing client relationships
