Position Description
The HRIS Manager provides strategic, functional, and technical leadership in the development, implementation, and optimization of HR systems across Henry Crown and Company (HCC), CC Industries (CCI), and portfolio companies under management agreements. The role focuses heavily on overseeing and enhancing the current HRIS environment—primarily Oracle HCM Cloud—to support operational excellence and business alignment. This position drives continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency to support long-term HR goals. Partnering with cross-functional HR teams, the HRIS Manager designs and delivers scalable technology solutions that meet current needs and support future growth. The role is critical in enabling data-driven decision-making, enhancing the employee experience, and ensuring smooth operation of HR systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the system owner and subject matter expert for Oracle HCM Cloud, providing leadership in the ongoing support, maintenance, and optimization of the platform across all corporate and operating units.
- Develop and support the implementation of a holistic technology roadmap, addressing recurring issues and incorporating trends to enable system engagement across the enterprise and empower appropriate levels of end-user directed actions.
- Manage system integrations, including the Oracle HCM Cloud Integration and Enterprise-wide SFTP environment, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all inbound and outbound files with third-party vendors (e.g., benefits providers, payroll, timekeeping systems).
- Responsible for the development and performance management of HRIS staff, ensuring team capabilities align with evolving organizational needs and technology advancements.
- Analyze and continuously evaluate HR-related business processes to identify automation opportunities, streamline workflows, and configure system solutions within Oracle that support best-in-class HR operations.
- Seek feedback from centers of excellence (CoEs) and HRBPs to continually identify stakeholder needs and optimization opportunities to deliver on HR and business strategy.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce HRIS policies and procedures related to system operations, access provisioning, data security, compliance, and interface governance.
- Design and deliver training and documentation for HR team members, managers, and employees to support the effective use of Oracle HCM Cloud modules.
- Monitor system performance and data integrity, establishing regular audits and reconciliation processes between Oracle and internal/external systems to ensure compliance, accuracy, and confidentiality of employee data.
- Oversee and manage the resolution of open Oracle SR tickets in collaboration with offshore consultants and internal teams, ensuring accountability, timely escalation, and high-quality system support.
- Monitor, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects, collaborating with supporting staff to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
- Support year-end processes related to payroll, benefits, and compliance reporting, in coordination with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams.
- Partner with functional HR leads and practitioners to enhance the knowledge base to ensure accurate and timely employee support.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field
Oracle HCM Cloud Certification(s); Project Management Certification (i.e. PMP) preferred. - Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HRIS experience, including at least 2 years in a people management or team leadership role. Must have demonstrated success in criteria-based assessment of HRIS platforms, implementation and support—preferably Oracle HCM Cloud or a comparable platform such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors.
- HRIS Project Management: Demonstrated success leading full life-cycle HR system implementations and enhancements, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Vendor Management: Proven ability to manage external vendors and SaaS partners, including contract negotiation, performance management, and issue resolution—preferably with Oracle or similar enterprise HR platforms.
- Technical & Functional Expertise: Strong understanding of enterprise HRIS architecture, system integrations, data governance, and security protocols, with hands-on experience in one or more Oracle HCM Cloud modules.
- Data & Reporting Proficiency: Skilled in developing and interpreting complex HR reports and dashboards; experience with tools such as Oracle OTBI, BI Publisher, or similar.
- Change & Stakeholder Management: Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, IT, and business leaders to align system capabilities with organizational goals; adept at leading change and managing user adoption.
- Team Leadership & Development: Experience managing and developing HRIS professionals; committed to fostering growth, accountability, and innovation within the team.
- AI & Innovation Orientation: Awareness of emerging HR technology trends, including the application of AI, automation, and analytics in HR operations and decision-making.
- Familiarity with UKG Pro Workforce Management is desirable and will be considered a valuable addition to the candidate's qualifications.
- Ability to learn and apply relevant HR policies, procedures and employment law and their impact on systems configuration.

Proactively prepares team members to serve as strong backups and future leaders, ensuring continuity of support and operational excellence.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership: Works seamlessly across departments (HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, Risk) to ensure system and process alignment. Builds trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Applies data analysis and critical thinking to identify system issues, uncover root causes, and implement effective solutions. Uses metrics and reporting to inform decisions and drive performance.
