Introduction

A dynamic individual is required to fulfil the role as the Financial Manager of the Wi-Cloud group and is to manage all the elements of the business and family office, on a day to day basis, from developing, setting and implementing the business strategy to managing the daily operations across all functional areas of the business. 

The Financial Manager is to lead the company's operations and employees. You are required to perform a range of tasks to ensure company productivity, profitability and efficiency including implementing business strategies, evaluating company performances, and supervising employees.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend to the day-day processing of all invoicing, expenses, cashbooks, payments, supplier and customer transactions of various group of companies including collection of debtors.
  • Entire financial well-being of the group of companies and will include preparing monthly management accounts and tax returns; auditing of financial information; compile and present reports, budgets, commentaries, financial forecasting, risk analysis cashflow management and inter-company reconciliations etc.
  • Business administrative functions are to run smoothly on a daily basis including but not limited to, general admin and filing, maintenance of all filling system.
  • Operational and administration of rental properties, including facilities and maintenance.
  • Operational and administration of short-term letting (STR) bookings and hospitality business that involves the renting out of luxury properties for brief stays (under 30-days) via platforms like Nightsbridge, AirBnb and Booking.com, etc.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for the Family Office including all Directors, Shareholders on operational, administrative, and select personal matters, ensuring discretion and professionalism at all times.
  • Receives and screens telephone calls, routes callers, takes messages and attend to post, e-mail and visitors. 
  • Performs any other assistance as required.

  • Valid South African driver’s licence with own reliable transport — essential.

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end financial statements and quarterly board packs for management. 
  • Assist with forecast and Budget preparation.
  • Monitor and reconcile inter-company transactions.
  • Prepare recharges of expenses to Group companies.
  • Prepare and upload of journals into the ledger.
  • Monthly closing of Pastel / Sage One / accounting systems. 
  • Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee travel reconciliations.
  • Prepare and capture monthly journals.
  • Prepare monthly General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly expense analysis.
  • Update fixed assets register including additions, disposals, depreciation, and physical verification.
  • Responsible for monthly statutory returns.
  • Prepare annual internal & external audit files.
  • Assisting internal and external auditors during annual audit.
  • Assist the Director with ad hoc tasks and projects.
  • Responsible for the management of the Wi-Cloud financial team to service the group, including any administrative functions, etc.
  • Preparation of monthly VAT return for review and submission.
  • Timely and accurately processing of bank entries in the cashbook and reconciliation of the cashbook by the 7nd working day of the month.
  • Timely and accurately processing of all monthly and recurring invoicing by the 25th day of each month.
  • Timely and accurately processing of all payments ad hoc and monthly. 
  • Vetting of suppliers/service providers before loading payment.
  • Accurate allocation of receipts to debtor invoices (matching).
  • Accurate allocation of payment to creditor invoices (Matching).
  • Monthly payroll runs, returns and administration of staff files.
  • Oversee creditor’s reconciliations and payments.
  • Preparation of monthly commission sheets.
  • Monthly Forex reconciliations

Operations and Employee Management

  • Implement the Group Human Resources and business processes and policies.
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement
  • Engaged, mentor and manage the business employees. 
  • Perform regular employee evaluations to determine areas of improvement.
  • Bi-annual KPA employee ratings as required by management.
  • Improving internal processes and ensuring employees work as a cohesive unit.
  • Manage and supervise operations and finance department.
  • Streamline operational processes across departments.


Desired Experience & Qualification

Education, skills and experience required:

  • B.Com or equivalent degree (3-years minimum) / experience will be taken into account
  • 8-10 years’ experience in similar industry position. 
  • Professional designation (Ie SAIPA, CIMA, or similar)

You will need to have:

  • Experience with Financial packages.
  • Financial statements on Caseware / DraftWorx or similar. 
  • Property rental management and lease administration experience is an advantage.
  • Pastel / Sage One / any accounting platform is essential.
  • Sage Professional Payroll experience required. 
  • Accuracy & huge attention to details 
  • Ability to navigate through Internet-based systems and programs. 
  • Able to work independently and manage daily tasks. 
  • Advanced MS Office processing skills using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint – ability to format reports, work with tables, styles, spread-sheets, presentations, etc. 
  • Able to be a team player in order to establish strong relationships with all stakeholders. 
  • Ability to learn new computer databases, programs and processes. 
  • Organisational skills - well organised and able to prioritise. 
  • Excellent communications skills and good telephone etiquette and ability to represent the company 
  • Good writing skills – ability to draft and edit letters. 
  • Ability to speak and write both English and Afrikaans fluently and to work in high pressure environment.

Package & Remuneration

  • R35,000 - R42,500 CTC per month
