Position Overview

Apollo is seeking to hire a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record of raising capital across Europe from family office investors to support Family Office coverage within its Global Family Office (“GFO”) European team.

GFO is a vertically integrated sales channel within Apollo’s Global Wealth Management Solutions (“GWMS”) team, which by extension sits within Apollo’s broader Client & Product Solutions (CPS) ecosystem designed to provide individuals and their advisors access to a growing range of wealth management solutions across yield, hybrid, equity, and retirement services that go beyond the public markets. The individual will partner closely with the EMEA Family Office & GWMS team to drive and execute regional sales strategy for GFO, working in close partnership with the Head of Family Office Europe and other regional leaders, while also maintaining connectivity with counterparts across the US and APAC on joint initiatives. A preference would be for the Principal to have an extensive family office network in the UK, and to embrace the flexibility of being pivoted to other, additional continental European coverage over time and as required.

Primary Responsibilities

Success of this individual will be defined as deepening coverage and increasing AUM raised from the UK and other European territories over time.

This individual will be responsible for:

  • Developing and cultivating relationships with key decision makers across Family Offices primarily and initially within the UK but with additional geographical coverage developing over time, and to onboard Apollo products to their respective portfolios.
  • Creating a business plan for UK sales in the near term, medium term and long term, in partnership with others
  • Identifying relevant Apollo products and strategies for the UK region
  • Feeding into product development and structuring to develop further product for the specified country support the growth of the UK business as required
  • Contributing in a meaningful way to yearly AUM target raise
  • Working with Head of Family Office to manage family office relationships

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant sales, fundraising, or investor relations experience, preferably within an alternative asset management firm, investment bank, private bank, or investment consulting firm
  • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university
  • Fluency in English and an additional European language additive but not imperative
  • Strong relationships with Family Offices and Multi-FOs in the UK
  • Strong understanding of the allocation requirements of family offices in the UK and Europe.
  • Proven ability to secure buy-in from the numerous decision makers and gate keepers across the European family office channel
  • Proactivity in providing transparent reporting to management on sales activity
  • Understanding of private markets products mechanics and ability to think creatively around the appropriate structure for distribution into the family office

  • Superior interpersonal skills; builds and maintains strong relationships/credibility with external clients
