We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Family Office & Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations across a diverse portfolio, with a strong emphasis on real estate investments and project-based accounting. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day accounting functions while supporting high-net-worth individuals and coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

  1. Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close
  2. Manage and optimize accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR) processes
  3. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all financial transactions
  4. Maintain financial records for multiple entities, including real estate holdings and related investments

Real Estate & Project Accounting

  1. Manage accounting for real estate assets, including tracking expenses, budgets, and cash flow
  2. Oversee project tracking, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation
  3. Partner with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial alignment across projects
  4. Analyze project performance and provide actionable insights

Family Office & HNW Support

  1. Support the financial needs of high-net-worth individuals, including reporting, budgeting, and expense tracking
  2. Coordinate across multiple entities, trusts, and investment structures
  3. Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial information

Leadership & Coordination

  1. Supervise and manage AP/AR staff and external contractors
  2. Coordinate with third-party vendors, accountants, and advisors
  3. Drive process improvements and implement best practices across accounting operations
  4. Communicate effectively across stakeholders and pivot priorities as needed in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  2. 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a family office, real estate, or multi-entity environment
  3. Strong experience with real estate accounting and project-based financial management
  4. Proven experience managing AP/AR functions
  5. Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals or family office structures
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  7. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and contractors
  8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  9. Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite) and Excel
