Arkansas Talent Group's Executive Search Division is exclusively working on a Chief Accounting Officer / Corporate Controller for a Family Office/Private Equity Group in Little Rock. Clients are open to looking at either the CAO or Controller level depending on the experience of the candidate. This is a unique opportunity that will work directly for a top-notch CFO and work with an incredible Accounting & FP&A team in Central Arkansas.

This Accounting Leader will oversee all corporate-level accounting, lead a team of plant accountants and corporate accountants, ensure robust financial reporting, and controls across a $ 100 M+ multi-site manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations at the corporate level, consolidating financials across multiple manufacturing plants and portfolio entities
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants at each plant and corporate level, fostering a culture of accuracy, compliance, and process improvement
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely, accurate consolidated financial statements following US GAAP
  • Establish and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices across the organization
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, support strategic decisions, and drive cost-saving initiatives
  • Lead or support accounting automation, process optimization, and system upgrades to improve efficiency and reporting timelines
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and audit requirements; liaise with external auditors and advisors
  • Support M&A, integration, and other corporate transactions as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / MBA preferred
  • CPA required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
  • Manufacturing experience required / Multi-site experience highly preferred
  • Private Equity exposure in manufacturing is highly preferred 
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting for complex organizations
  • Proven experience managing distributed teams and leading cross-site accounting functions
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to partner with both plant operations and executive leadership
  • Experience with accounting process automation and system implementations a plus
