Position Description

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Real Estate, the newly formed position of Analyst – Corporate Real Estate will be responsible for supporting a diverse real estate portfolio.  This position will support various family-operating business units and wholly owned properties by assisting in engagement and strategy execution for a broad range of real estate assets.  Together with senior leadership across the real estate team and partners in accounting, HR, technology and legal, the position will be responsible for assessing, developing, and coordinating the execution of strategies and overseeing various real estate support services.  

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with the executive team and portfolio company business leaders to assist in the achievement of firm strategy and business goals; identify ways in which real estate opportunities can fulfill those goals
  • Provide RE Team support for real estate strategy, including acquisitions, lease renewals and administration, development, and dispositions to maximize value
  • Provide a center of competence and governance for all aspects of the corporate and legacy real estate portfolio, ensuring that owned and leased locations are effectively managed and aligned to business strategies
  • Build relationships and be viewed as a credible RE Team member with business leaders, team members, and other stakeholders.  Gain support and drive for consensus for strategy and plans through relationship building.
  • Cultivate relationships with industry peers, brokers, tenants, capital providers, project managers, and consultants to efficiently execute projects.
  • Assist in the evaluation of existing real estate assets in the portfolio including office, industrial, special purpose, land, multi-family, and hotel properties.
  • Provide RE Team support for asset management, facilities operations, maintenance programs, capital project management, including space planning, buildouts, and capital project management 
  • Provide RE Team support in the assessment and design of work places while considering opportunities to reduce operating costs through strategic planning, alternative workplace strategies, and technology integration
  • Ability to review and synthesize complex documents such as contracts and commercial leases
  • Elevate environmental, social, and corporate governance initiatives for the portfolio

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Finance, or Real Estate Management
  • 1-3 years of experience, preferably in real estate investment, portfolio management, finance or development.
  • Applies business and industry experience and provides support to organizational thought leadership
  • An ability to effectively partner with various internal stakeholders to accomplish organizational objectives
  • Experience and interest in negotiating and managing third party vendor relationships such as landlord, property management, brokerage, architects, and contractors
  • Solid financial and analytical approach with a strong foundation in finance and project management
  • Knowledge of industry standards and space efficiency metrics
  • Ability to present new, innovative ideas and a willingness to consider non-traditional solutions
  • Approximately 3 years of commercial real estate experience
  • Preference for specific corporate real estate experience with larger private or public entities that maintain diverse and complex real estate holdings
  • Very proficient in desktop software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and other software tools
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
