Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our growing Family Office Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with 2+ years of accounting experience who is ready to take on a variety of tasks and contribute to the success of our clientsβ financial operations. You will assist with general accounting responsibilities, maintain accurate financial records, and support senior staff in achieving departmental goals.
This job is available in 1) Miami, FL 2) West Palm Beach, FL 3) Boca Raton, FL and 4) Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Accounting Support: Assist in the creation of journal entries and posting to the general ledger (GL) for tracking income and expenses.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Support daily accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring invoices and expense reports are accurate and processed on time.
- Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling business accounts regularly to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software and ensure proper filing of bills, invoices, and related documentation.
- Payment Processing: Help manage incoming payments and outgoing checks, including ensuring correct documentation and signatures.
- Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors to ensure timely payments and resolve any issues related to accounts payable and receivable.
- Monthly Reporting & Closings: Support the preparation of monthly reports and assist in the closing process, ensuring all financial records are up to date.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior staff and other accountants to assist with additional accounting tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in accounting or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or related financial services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Bill.com.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
