We are looking for an Accountant to join the Business Management & Family Office practice in our Advisory Department. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for: 

Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries & requests; work closely with Partner/Managing Director/Director to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with tax and royalty departments as needed.
  • Manage & mentor Account Manager; provide supervision and oversight.
  • First-level review of Loan Applications.
  • Review General Ledger & Trial Balance.
  • Finalize monthly client reporting & meeting packages with support from Account Manager.
  • Provide journal entries when necessary.
  • Provide guidance to Account Manager on Y/E payroll and planning as needed.
  • Prepare tax return packages with support from Account Manager.
  • Tax return preparation as needed including preparation of more complex personal, trust, and corporate tax returns.
  • Preparation of CWA's if applicable or other international reporting.
  • Preparation of budgets, settlement reports, and analysis for further review (touring clients only).
  • Initial preparation of basic investment analysis reports using Black Diamond.
  • Set up client books.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in the business management and/or family office industry; or 0-3 years of experience in the business management and/or family office industry & Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Business Admin, Economics)
  • Active CPA or EA a plus
  • Strong technical skills focused on quality
