Vice President / Associate Vice President – Alternative Investments

Position Overview

Upwisery is seeking a strategic leader to head its Alternative Investments vertical within the Private Wealth & Family Office division. The role involves end-to-end ownership of the business line, including strategic planning, investment execution, portfolio management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Founding Partners and be instrumental in shaping the firm’s alternative investment strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the growth and profitability of the alternative investments portfolio
• Source, evaluate, and execute deals across VC, PE, Pre-IPO, Real Estate etc.
• Conduct due diligence, structure investments, and ensure compliance
• Monitor investment performance and support portfolio companies
• Deliver strategic reports and maintain alignment with internal and external stakeholders
• Stay abreast of market trends and identify co-investment opportunities 
• Qualifications:
• 10–15 years in PE/VC, unlisted investment banking, or startup fund-raising
• CA/CFA with MBA from a reputed institution
• Strong investment acumen and team leadership experience
• Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship management skills
• Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
