On behalf of our client, a privately held family office with a diverse portfolio of investments, operating companies, trusts, and philanthropic initiatives, we’re seeking a Senior Accountant / Tax Manager with deep tax expertise. This person will serve as both technician and advisor — ensuring precision in the details while shaping the financial architecture that supports long-term stewardship.

What You’ll Do

Financial Stewardship

• Manage day-to-day accounting across multiple entities — partnerships, trusts, foundations, and operating companies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements; consolidate reporting and ensure accuracy across ledgers.
• Oversee monthly and annual closes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Partner with investment managers and custodians to maintain real-time insight into performance and liquidity.

Tax Leadership

• Lead and review complex tax filings (individual, partnership, trust, foundation).
• Partner with external advisors to ensure filings are timely, compliant, and strategically informed.
• Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with long-term investment, estate, and philanthropic objectives.
• Stay attuned to evolving tax legislation, translating complexity into clear, actionable guidance.

Strategic Partnership

• Collaborate closely with principals, attorneys, and external advisors on structuring, transactions, and planning.
• Contribute to the refinement of internal controls, processes, and policies.
• Serve as a financial translator — connecting accounting detail to broader strategic priorities.

What You Bring

• CPA credential not required, but helpful.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong tax specialization.
• Expertise in partnership, trust, and high-net-worth individual taxation.
• Experience with diverse holdings: private equity, real estate, operating companies, and philanthropic entities.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel; experience in a family office setting preferred.
• Exceptional integrity, judgment, and communication skills.

Base Compensation Range

$125,000 - $165,000 USD
