Primary Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate in our New York office, your responsibilities would include the following activities:
- Preparation and review of personal, business and fiduciary income tax returns including multi-state filings
- Preparation and review of tax projections for planning and estimated taxes and other tax planning
- Respond to tax notices and assist with tax audits
- Tax research and special projects
- Review of payroll tax returns and other information tax return filings
- Forensic accounting and other financial work for matrimonial actions
- Provide business management/financial administration/financial concierge services for multiple clients - this includes direct contact with clients as well as supervision and review of bookkeeping services such as general ledger postings, payroll, bank reconciliations, write-ups and preparation of financial statements)
- Review client specific reports including financial statements, budgets, cash flow and spending reports, as well as financial plans
- Responsible for developing and maintaining superior client relationships
- Interaction with other members of a client’s wealth management team
- Responsible for all business aspects of client relationships including billing, collecting and maintaining profitability
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of income tax planning, financial planning and financial administration
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Masters in Tax a plus
- CPA license preferred, CFP desirable
- 5 – 7 years of High Net Worth tax experience with CPA firm or wealth management firm
- Extensive experience with preparation and review of individual income tax returns with an emphasis on the taxation of high net worth individuals
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and QuickBooks (Desktop and Online versions)
- Ability to manage professionals, workflow, to multitask and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a team mentality
