POSITION SUMMARY 

Whittier Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced System Administrator to join our team in Reno, NV. This position will report to the Senior Vice President and collaborate closely with the Technology team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, ensuring both efficiency and accuracy in all responsibilities. A strong work ethic and a proactive attitude are essential for successfully addressing challenges with confidence and resilience. Excellent communication skills are vital for effective collaboration across teams.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining our multi-site computing environment, identifying system requirements and issues, installing upgrades, performing helpdesk-related activities, and providing support for various projects. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee end-user support through a help desk ticketing system (Ivanti).
  • Configure and maintain the Ivanti platform, including IT Service Management (ITSM) and Discovery, as well as objects, forms, fields, environments, upgrades, patches, and integrations.
  • Address user inquiries, problems, and needs with prompt and courteous assistance.
  • Maintain the infrastructure, which includes workstations, servers, network switches, routers, and cabling.
  • Provide support for both Microsoft and VMware workstations and servers.
  • Assist in managing applications, system security, communications, internet access, and hardware.
  • Handle software deployment and patch management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements, making recommendations to optimize the Ivanti platform.
  • Provide IT support for onboarding and offboarding staff, including provisioning hardware, accounts, and system access.
  • Manage user accounts, licenses, security groups, and permissions within the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support, responding to requests via phone, email, and the ticketing system.
  • Manage technical projects as a project owner by collaborating with key stakeholders to gather requirements, develop a solution, verify, test, and deploy it.
  • Provide support for applications such as:
    • LaserFiche
    • Kiteworks
    • Office Suite (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Office 365, Azure/Entra, Email)
    • 8x8
    • FoxIT
    • Salesforce
    • Smart Deploy imaging

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year degree from recognized institution or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis on client service (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications, preferred not essential

Whittier Trust provides a competitive base salary, performance bonus, and benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, and 401(k) with company match.

Base salary range: $70,000 - $85,000
