Overview

The Strategy and Integration Manager will play a key role in driving Family Office strategies across all M&A activities, ensuring the smooth integration of acquired companies, and managing a business model that is aligned with the organization’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled professional with the ability to lead with influence and with significant experience in M&A integrations, management consulting / project management, and professional services (tax, accounting) within a wealth management firm.

Key Responsibilities:

M&A Integration:

  • Oversee the integration of acquired firms with respect to the Tax, Personal CFO, and other Family Office areas
  • Develop integration project plans across functions (e.g., finance, IT, Legal, Compliance, HR) to ensure seamless integration of the Family Office teams and acquired firm operations
    • Finance – pricing and billing
    • IT – applicable software applications and vendor agreements
    • Legal – client contracts and NDAs
    • Compliance – special activities or arrangements
    • HR – employee onboarding, trainings, and integration into new teams  
  • Work with the business unit subject matter experts to develop project plans for the integration of the applicable Family Office service (e.g., Tax, Personal CFO, other) and clients onto the centralized Corient platform
  • Work with the business unit subject matter experts to identify integration dependencies, milestones, scope, and timelines
  • Manage to timelines and communicate expectations clearly and consistently
  • Stakeholder management with Wealth Advisors, Family Office professionals, and others

Strategic Initiatives and Presentations:

  • Translate complex data into clear, concise presentations for leadership
  • Project manage technology initiatives, due diligence, and research
  • Assist with the building and designing of service delivery models

Operational Support:

  • Create process documentation and make suggestions for process and procedure improvements, as necessary
  • Update and develop RACIs
  • Work with internal Finance on time entry, billing, budgeting/revenue forecast, and financial reporting 
  • Vendor management
  • Assist with the development of pitch/ proposal and internal webinar decks as necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting or project management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with experience creating executive-level presentations.
  • Strong execution and follow-through; viewed as a “driver” to successfully complete large initiatives
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • High EQ and the ability to lead with influence.
  • Experience with professional service business models and financial modeling a plus.

This position is exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of New York. The pay range for this position is $160,500– $200,000 per year. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.   • This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.

 U.S. Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. For U.S. employment opportunities, Corient hires U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Corient will require proof of work authorization.
