Senior Legal Advisor / Head of Legal, Multi-Family Office

A multi-family office is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor to lead its legal function and work closely with shareholders. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the principals on all legal matters, with a focus on asset structuring, cross-border transactions, and strategic risk management across both international and local jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end legal support across investment activities and asset management
• Partner closely with shareholders on strategic decisions and risk mitigation
• Structure and execute local and cross-border transactions
• Oversee and manage external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions
• Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risks
• Prepare and present clear legal updates and reports to shareholders
• Advise on AIFC regulatory requirements, including ongoing compliance
• Work across both English common law and Kazakhstani civil law frameworks

Key Requirements

• 15+ years of legal experience, ideally within family offices or in direct shareholder-facing roles
• Strong track record in cross-border structuring and international transactions
• Deep expertise in asset management, corporate, and investment law
• Practical experience with both English law and Kazakhstani legal frameworks
• Solid understanding of international holding structures and investment vehicles
• Fluent in Russian and English, Kazakh is a plus
• High level of integrity, discretion, and a proactive, business-oriented mindset
