We are looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join our Asset Allocation & Investment Research team. What will you do
This is a multifaceted position that includes many of the following:
- • Overseeing the research process, from idea generation to investment recommendation, ensuring thorough analysis of companies, industries, and market trends.
- • Collaborate with portfolio managers and other members of the investment team to develop and implement investment strategies that capitalize on market opportunities along with delivering strong performance.
- • Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of companies, evaluating financial statements, industry dynamics, competitive positioning, and other relevant factors.
- • Build and maintain financial models to forecast company performance, assess valuation metrics, and support investment decisions.
- • Stay abreast to macroeconomic factors, regulatory changes, and industry developments that may impact investment decisions, and incorporate these insights into the research process.
- • Present investment recommendations and research findings to senior management, investment committees, articulating the rationale behind investment decisions.
- • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal investment policies and procedures.
- What do you need to be successful
- • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics or a related field. MBA, MFin and/or CFA designation highly preferred.
- • Minimum 5 years investment research experience, with a proven track record of generating value through investment recommendations at North American investment institutions.
- • Deep understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and valuation techniques.
- • A generalist across multiple GICS sectors/industries/sub-industries is preferred, but specific industries exposure to information technology and health care is an asset.
- • Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills, proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- • Strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to effectively articulate investment theses and insights.
- • Ability to thrive in an institutional environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
