Job Description Summary:
The Director of Family Office Services will lead the ongoing management of Cambridge Associates' Family Office Services team within the Private Client Practice. This individual will be responsible for executing the team's mission to serve as a partner and resource across a range of family office services and solutions, including family office design, governance, legacy planning, and advisory services. To realize the team's mission, the Director will work directly with clients and prospects or in conjunction with trusted providers, while integrating these offerings with the firm's core investment management platform. The Director will also oversee partnerships with external providers to deliver a full spectrum of family office and family administration services to clients and prospects.

In conjunction with the Head of Private Wealth Strategies and Family Office Services, this role will focus on:
Strategic Leadership:
- Refine the vision, mission, and strategy for the Family Office Services team in alignment with the Private Client Practice and firm-wide objectives.
- Effectively partner with client leads to market and deliver on Cambridge's value proposition regarding family office services and solutions.
- Establish and maintain a robust operating model for the team, including service delivery standards, workflows, and performance metrics.
Service Development & Delivery
- Design and implement an evolving range of in-house family office services, which may include:
- Family office design and governance structure
- Legacy planning and family advisory
- Integration with investment management services
- Identify client needs and tailor service offerings to ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices.
- Ensure exceptional client experience and satisfaction across all touchpoints.
Partnership Management
- Develop and manage relationships with external service providers (e.g., tax, legal, trusteeship, accounting, concierge, real estate, specialty asset management).
- Oversee the vetting, selection, and ongoing evaluation of third-party partners to ensure quality and alignment with client needs.
- Coordinate and monitor delivery of external services to ensure seamless client experience.
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Collaborate with Private Client Practice leadership and business development teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Serve as a senior advisor to clients and prospects, providing thought leadership and guidance on family office matters.
- Represent Cambridge Associates at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Empower investment teams to identify client-specific needs and market family office services where appropriate through internal training and content creation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; relevant advanced degree (JD, MBA, CPA, CFP, or similar) strongly preferred.
- 10 + years of experience in family office services, private wealth management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in family office design, governance, legacy planning, and advisory.
- Strong network of relationships with external service providers (tax, legal, accounting, etc.).
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong business development acumen and commercial sensibility.
- Strong skills in project management and operational excellence
- High ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.
Base salary range for this role:
Pay Range Minimum:
181500
Pay Range Maximum:
246800
In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
