About the Role
Our client is looking for a sharp and experienced Senior Accountant or Assistant Accounting Manager to support the financial management operations of the principals. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced setting, can juggle multiple priorities with ease, and brings strong full-cycle accounting experience to the table.
This role is 100% onsite in Redwood City, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for the family office.
- Track and reconcile personal and business expenses for the principals, including personal bookkeeping as needed.
- Reconcile cash accounts and investment portfolios with precision and accuracy.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic initiatives.
- Assist with the implementation and conversion to a new accounting system.
- Prepare and review financial reporting packages.
- Gather tax support documentation and coordinate with both internal and external tax teams.
- Support various ad hoc projects as the needs of the family office evolve.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both public accounting and private industry.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and investment accounting.
- Comfortable working with complex financial data and managing cash flows in a growing environment.
- Tech-savvy with experience in accounting systems and system conversions.
- Maintains high professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Self-starter who can take initiative and thrive wearing multiple hats.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree a plus.
