Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and reconciling accounting records across multiple entities, including investment holding companies and foundations
- Supporting accounting for investment portfolios, including tracking transactions, valuations, and reporting (with exposure to alternative investments)
- Coordinating with external advisors on corporate and personal Canadian tax filings, including support for tax and estate planning
- Preparing cash flow reporting and managing liquidity, including monitoring inflows/outflows and deposit rollovers

- Overseeing statutory filings, record keeping, and compliance requirements across entities
- Liaising with external accountants, legal advisors, and investment managers to ensure timely reporting
- Supporting investment operations and monitoring adherence to internal investment policies
- Managing ad hoc projects and administrative priorities in support of the principals
- Contributing to process and system improvements, including enhancements to accounting workflows
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- CPA designation (or in progress) preferred
- 3–7 years of experience in accounting, ideally within investment, financial services, or multi-entity environments
- Hands-on exposure to investment accounting or investment portfolios (alternatives/private investments preferred)
- Strong ability to work independently, manage priorities, and exercise sound judgment with minimal oversight
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency; NetSuite experience or system implementation exposure is an asset
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with senior stakeholders and external advisors
- High level of discretion and professionalism, with sensitivity to confidential information
- A flexible, “no ego” mindset with a willingness to support both accounting and administrative aspects of the role
