Private Client Tax Senior Manager (Trust and Family Office)

Salary: £82,000-£95,000 per annum
Working arrangement: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

We are supporting a prestigious accountancy firm in their search for a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join their Trusts and Family Office team in London.
Job description
In this role, you will be responsible for providing Family Offices with accurate advice with their tax affairs and oversee the day-to-day management of a large portfolio including billing, delegation and monitoring work in progress.
You will also be responsible for maintaining current client relations as well as overseeing the consistent business development for the department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide a range of Tax services, managing a private client portfolio, specialising in personal tax across a mix of compliance and advisory work
- Identify tax sensitive expenditure and wider tax issues
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure deadlines are met, and overseeing client portfolios to ensure HMRC deadlines are met
- Assist in managing the Private Client Tax team by hearing the voice of your team members, conduct appraisals, provide coaching of assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality and delivery of work
- Monitor your own utilisation, productivity and WIP
- Confident providing guidance and feedback to others in the team
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a management role within an established chartered accountancy firm
- Experience in personal/private Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is essential
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation
- Advisory experience is essential for this role and candidates must be able to demonstrate this at interview stage
- Experience in the administration of estates is beneficial, but not essential
- CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified
- Must have the right to work in the UK
