Salary: £66,000-£75,000 per annum
Working arrangement: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
 
Overview and Opportunity
 
We are supporting a prestigious accountancy firm in their search for a Private Client Manager to join their Trusts and Family Office team in London.
 
Job description
 
This role will see you take responsibility for an already large portfolio of clients to the firm and support them in handling all complex tax and compliance affairs.
 
You will also be expected to work in an advisory capacity for clients on matters such as capital gains, residence issues as well as inheritance tax.
 
Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing individual HNW client relationships, including trustees and executors, as their primary point of contact.
  • Reviewing annual compliance cycle of trust and estates accounts, and tax returns.
  • Drafting complex tax advisory reports for Directors and Partners.
  • Advising on CGT, IHT, domicile/residence issues and the use of trust/company structures.
  • Working closely with leading Senior Managers, Directors and Partners where required, and assisting with business development opportunities where appropriate.
  • Identifying potential planning opportunities and assisting with marketing and networking initiatives.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a management role within an established chartered accountancy firm
  • Experience in personal/private Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is essential
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation
  • Advisory experience is essential for this role and candidates must be able to demonstrate this at interview stage
  • Experience in the administration of estates is beneficial, but not essential
  • CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
