Roles & responsibilities
Role Description: This individual would play a role as a member of the Private Client Services (PCS) and Family Office (FO) practices for the Canadian Geography, KPMG Global Services (KGS). The individual would be reporting in to the Head of Global Mobility Services (GMS) at KGS and would be responsible for managing the growing Canadian team.
Operational Excellence:
•Manage Service Delivery for PCS and FO Canada and help lead the evolution and transformation of operations and processes through implementation of best-in-class practices from across the domain.
•Support PCS and FO Canada by continually improving the overall service delivery model.
•Oversee the implementation of operational excellence initiatives.

Leadership Attributes:
•Develop and maintain a strong network with the Canada PCS/FO leadership.
•Work closely with the Canadian and local teams to ensure the effective deployment, utilization and development of the KGS PCS/FO professionals.
•Help in building a talent strategy for staff attraction, retention and development.
•Strong people-centric leadership approach with the ability to interact effectively with empath and impact.
•Client service mindset tuned to major accounting firms’ culture and set up.
Qualifications
This role is for you if you have the below
Educational qualifications
·Minimum master’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance and/or a CA/CPA (India); MBA or ICWA. Excellent academic results from a reputable university are highly desired.
·U.S. Enrolled Agent Certification or CPA
Mandatory technical & functional skills
•Minimum 5 years of experience in Canadian individual income tax, with experience in signing off on Canadian tax returns, and an ability to interpret Canadian tax laws.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in U.S. individual income tax, with experience in signing off on U.S. tax returns, and an ability to interpret U.S. tax laws.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in preparing, reviewing and signing off on U.S. foreign information reporting forms, including forms 5471, 8621 and 8865.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in working with Canadian engagement teams.
•Secondment / onshore experience in Canada will be an added advantage.
Technical Leadership and Client Engagement:
•Personal accountability in leading client engagements for PCS and FO Canada, including end-to-end client engagement processes (tax briefings, tax compliance, notices, client communications, etc).
•Lead and participate in Tax Technical and Domain knowledge enhancement projects for the team professionals.
•Develop and enhance personal technical knowledge and understanding of Canadian and U.S. tax.
Collaboration & Teaming:
•Drive best practices to ensure the continued trajectory in integration with Canadian engagement teams.
•Actively collaborate with other service lines to deliver client excellence through a ‘One Firm’ mindset.
•Serve as the KGS Technical Anchor and represent KGS on Key KPMG PCS/FO tax knowledge initiatives.
