The Family Office Transition & Technology Transformation Manager is a client-facing consulting role focused on supporting the design and execution of future-state accounting operations for family office clients. This individual plays a key role in assessing current environments, contributing to solution design, and helping drive client transitions from fragmented processes to scalable, integrated operating models.

This role balances hands-on involvement in discovery, design support, and execution coordination, while building deeper expertise in family office structures and technology transformation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support discovery engagements to assess client technology, processes, controls, and entity structures 
  • Contribute to future-state design, including: GL and accounting system structure, AP and expense workflows, investment accounting processes and reporting frameworks 
  • Assist in building transition roadmaps, including sequencing and dependencies 
  • Help execute transition plans and coordinate with delivery teams 
  • Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer for post-transition support 
  • Support system selection and implementation efforts (e.g., Sage Intacct) 
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies and recommend improvements 
  • Assist in documenting workarounds for system limitations 
  • Contribute to standardizing accounting and operational processes 
  • Identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements 
  • Apply working knowledge of multi-entity structures (operating, investment, trusts) and intercompany relationships and ownership structures 
  • Support investment accounting processes, reconciliations, and reporting 
  • Gain familiarity with platforms like Addepar and Black Diamond 
  • Support client communications and help explain recommendations 
  • Work closely with Senior Managers and delivery teams 
  • Help manage timelines, risks, and execution details 
  • Assist in developing templates, tools, and documentation 
  • Support knowledge sharing and team development 
  • Contribute to improving transition processes 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required or equivalent working experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in family office accounting, outsourcing accounting, or consulting environments 
  • Strong pre existing knowledge of family office entity structures, ownership, intercompany, and investment accounting
  • Experience with technology implementations, system integrations, and process redesign in complex multi entity environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with investment systems (e.g., Addepar, Black Diamond)
  • CPA or equivalent credential
