IT Systems Specialist

The Single-Family Office is a private entity established to manage the financial, legal, and personal affairs of one wealthy family exclusively. It oversees the family’s investments and long-term interests across public markets, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and other alternative assets. With a disciplined and long-term approach, the SFO focuses on capital preservation, sustainable growth, and strategic partnerships aligned with the family’s vision.

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Specialist to support and maintain the technology environment of a Single-family office. This is a hands-on role combining infrastructure support with high-touch personal technology assistance for the shareholder.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted technical point of contact, ensuring that all systems remain secure, stable, and well-maintained, while coordinating with external providers where required.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain business and personal IT systems
• Act as the primary day-to-day technical contact for the shareholder
• Administer infrastructure including servers, cloud platforms, networks, and end-user devices
• Implement system upgrades, migrations, and improvements in coordination with vendors
• Maintain cybersecurity controls and security best practices
• Monitor backups and assist with disaster recovery procedures
• Provide executive and travel-related technical support
• Coordinate with external IT providers, MSPs, and security partners when required
• Maintain documentation, asset registers, and access management records

Requirements

Strong experience with:

• macOS administration and troubleshooting
• iOS / iPadOS
• Windows 10 / 11
• Windows Server administration
• Linux (basic administration knowledge)
• Virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
• Mixed Apple and Microsoft environments
• Microsoft 365 administration
• Azure AD / Entra ID (MFA, Conditional Access, user management)
• Apple Business Manager
• Device management (Intune or similar)
• Networking fundamentals (VLANs, VPNs, firewall configuration)
• Endpoint security solutions
• Backup systems and recovery procedures
• High-touch support for Apple devices
• Secure communication tools
• Home and small office networking technologies

Desirable

• PowerShell or basic scripting knowledge
• Experience supporting senior executives or private clients
• Familiarity with monitoring tools
• Awareness of smart home technologies
