The Role

In this role, you will be the go-to person for all IT-related matters within the household, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and providing immediate support when required.

The household runs like a corporate office on a number of floors, so the role would suit someone who is capable of running multiple technological functions and can quickly solve issues, as well as advising the Estate Manager on any upgrades and advancements that would benefit the Principal.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, on-site IT support across the household
  • Troubleshoot and resolve printing, connectivity, and general technical issues
  • Liaise with external network and IT management providers
  • Manage and maintain iPhone applications and settings for the Principal
  • Oversee conference room technology (including T1V and QSIS systems)
  • Act as a present, on-the-ground support during meetings and virtual calls
  • Support household staff with laptop setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure smooth setup and operation of video conferencing (e.g., Zoom), particularly for the Principal
  • Recommend system upgrades, improvements, and new technologies to enhance efficiency
  • Provide remote or on-call support outside of standard hours as required

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong all-round IT support experience (hardware, software, and basic networking)
  • Confident supporting Apple devices and mobile applications
  • Experienced with video conferencing platforms and AV setups
  • Calm, professional, and highly discreet with a service-led mindset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
  • Comfortable working independently in a private household environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to support high-profile individuals
