PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Investment Operations Specialist will support the investment operations team and will be primarily focused on modeling and execution of trades, holdings analysis and recommended transitions, coordination with external managers, and supporting account compliance in the resolution of accounts that are out of balance and/or drafting new investment policy statements for clients as appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate trades with external custodians via electronic order management system and/or voice orders.
  • Monitor and execute trades transmitted by relationship managers and family wealth analysts with close attention to detail, cash management, and account compliance.
  • Maintain models and implement trades across multiple accounts (ranging from a dozen at a time to upward of a hundred) when updates are communicated by managers or the investment team.
  • Review and approve other traders’ trades prior to execution.
  • Assist in product/investment transitions, including performance and communications of trade analysis.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to resolve investment-related compliance issues, draft new agreements where appropriate.
  • Disseminate AUM information to external managers.
  • Classify securities in reporting system.
  • Manage multiple priorities either independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as needed for the efficient operation of the department.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Series 65 or Series 66 designation required  
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business or finance preferred, and 2-4 years of experience in back-office and trade operations.
  • Familiarity with Envestnet Tamarac Reporting and/or Rebalancing a plus
