We are working with a Family Office in Japan in their search for a new Investment Manager.
 
Job description
 
This role is suited to a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical capabilities and experience across investment analysis, deal execution, and portfolio management.
 
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and evaluating investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, supporting strategic investment decisions, and managing portfolio performance.
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct market, industry, and company research to identify investment opportunities
• Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis, and investment due diligence
• Support the full investment lifecycle including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, execution, and monitoring
• Prepare investment papers, reports, and presentations for senior stakeholders and investment committees
• Monitor portfolio performance and provide strategic recommendations to maximise returns and manage risk
• Collaborate with legal, tax, and external advisors during transaction processes
• Build and maintain relationships with portfolio companies, investors, banks, and strategic partners
• Contribute to investment strategy, asset allocation planning, and market analysis

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years’ experience in investment, M&A, private equity, asset management, or consulting
• Strong financial analysis, valuation, and deal execution experience
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced financial modelling
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and investment processes
• Fluent Chinese with Japanese and English being advantageous, but not essential
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or FRM would be advantageous
