Our Client

Numbers Executive is pleased to support a prominent Melbourne-based family office that manages a diverse portfolio of investments in real estate, venture capital, and private equity.  Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Investment Professional at the equivalent Associate level to join their team.  

The Opportunity

Working in a tight-knit team with a flat structure, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the evaluation of new investment opportunities across the platform. This includes:

  • conduct in-depth research on market trends and sectors
  • conducting thorough financial analysis and desktop due diligence on investment proposals
  • assisting in transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution
  • preparing insightful investment recommendations for the investment committee
  • support the maintenance of a robust pipeline of investment opportunities
  • actively monitor existing portfolio investments to ensure their continued success.

You will develop and nurture relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and communication essential for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.

Your contributions will directly impact the firm’s investment strategies and overall growth, making this an exciting and rewarding role for someone passionate about driving long-term value in the investment landscape.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5-6 years of M&A experience, likely gained with an investment bank or boutique corporate advisor  
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial modeling skills
  • Expertise in financing structures, financial analysis, and risk assessment
  • Ability to research and understand emerging market trends
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Tertiary degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Post-graduate qualifications such as CFA or CA
  • Relevant Australian Working Rights
