Description

We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client, a seasoned and forward-thinking Head of Security to lead a Family Office’s security strategy, with a strong emphasis on business, economic, and reputational risk management. This role requires a leader with international experience, capable of navigating complex geopolitical environments, aligning security operations with business objectives, and safeguarding the Family Office’s people and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Security Leadership

  • Develop and implement a security strategy aligned with corporate risk management and business continuity goals.
  • Demonstrate executive leadership on emerging threats, geopolitical developments, and reputational risks.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination during crises, including incident response, communications, and recovery planning.

Risk Intelligence & Threat Assessment

  • Monitor political, economic, and social trends to assess potential impacts on Family Office
  • Oversee the development of intelligence capabilities to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and security networks to maintain situational awareness.

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise security team, including physical security, travel risk, and executive protection.
  • Ensure security protocols are in place for office and family residence.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure compliance with international security standards.

Reputation & Crisis Management

  • Partner with communications, legal, and compliance teams to manage reputational risks and sensitive incidents.
  • Lead or support investigations into security breaches, leaks, or public relations threats.
  • Develop and test crisis management and emergency response plans.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to global security regulations, data protection laws, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in corporate security, intelligence, or risk management, with international exposure.
  • Proven track record in managing complex security operations and advising senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of geopolitical risk, crisis communications, and corporate governance.
  • Experience working in multinational environments or high-risk industries (e.g., finance, energy, tech).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
