Head of Public Markets – Single Family Office

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced investment professional with strong public markets experience to join a single-family office.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee the development and execution of investment strategies for global public equities, fixed income and hedge funds. This involves constructing and managing portfolios, sourcing and managing external manager relationships, assessing risks, performance monitoring and delivering strong risk-adjusted returns aligned with the firm’s long-term objectives. You will keep abreast of global financial markets and provide regular reporting and strategic updates to the Head of Investment and Investment Committee on portfolio performance, market trends, and investment outlook. As a key member of the investment team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to refine investment strategies, enhance processes, and continuously evaluate investment opportunities. You will mentor and develop a high-performing team of investment professionals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Finance/Accountancy or related discipline and has 10-15 years of relevant investment experience. You have in-depth knowledge of public markets including hedge funds across asset classes. Your strong portfolio construction and asset allocation skills as well as strong understanding of capital deployment pacing, commitment planning, and liquidity management will enable you to perform successfully in this role. Your strong performance track record would demonstrate your expertise in fund manager due diligence (qualitative and quantitative), and familiarity with buy-side LP decision frameworks. Experience in North American and European markets presents a strong advantage. You have an extensive network and credibility in the public equities and hedge fund investment community. Your exceptional leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and adherence to high ethical and professional standards will enable you to be successful in this role.
