We are hiring on behalf of our client, a single family office based in Limassol, a Head of IT.

The Head of IT will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and continuously improving all information technology systems for a single family office, including both corporate operations and the personal technology environment of the shareholder and their family. This is a highly trusted, hands-on role requiring technical expertise, discretion, and the ability to operate seamlessly across professional and personal domains.

The ideal candidate combines strategic IT leadership with practical execution, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology solutions that support business operations, personal needs, privacy, and lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the family office’s operational, security, and long-term objectives
  • Act as the primary IT advisor to the shareholder on both office and personal technology matters
  • Plan and manage IT budgets, vendors, contracts, and service providers

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Oversee all IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, hardware, software, and communications systems
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems across office and personal environments
  • Manage system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations

Cybersecurity & Data Protection

  • Design and enforce robust cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Protect sensitive business, financial, and personal data with best-in-class security practices
  • Monitor threats, manage incident response, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and privacy standards

Personal Technology Support (Shareholder & Family)

  • Provide direct support for personal devices, smart home systems, secure communications, travel technology, and digital lifestyle tools
  • Ensure seamless, secure, and discreet technology experiences for the shareholder and family members
  • Coordinate with household staff, security teams, and external advisors as needed

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Select, manage, and negotiate with IT vendors, consultants, and managed service providers
  • Coordinate with internal teams (finance, legal, operations) and external advisors to ensure IT alignment
  • Serve as the central point of accountability for all IT-related matters

Policies, Documentation & Governance

  • Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and documentation
  • Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup plans are in place and tested
  • Maintain clear records of systems, licenses, assets, and access rights

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally within a family office, private office, UHNW environment, or similar trusted setting
  • Strong technical background across infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and end-user support
  • Experience supporting both corporate and personal technology environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Exceptional discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of the IT function
  • Willingness to provide out-of-hours support when required
  • Commitment to maintaining absolute confidentiality regarding all personal and business matters
