Finance Accountant, Co-op

About the role: The junior accountant Co-op will have opportunities to expose to full accounting cycle and assist the senior financial analyst on recording business transactions and analyzing business performance.     

Responsibilities: 

• Develop technical skills in areas such as: bookkeeping, compilation, and audit  
• Summarize current financial status by collaborating with the team and preparing relevant documentations and reports in a monthly manner 
• Assist in all functions of monthly closing, not limited to preparing, posting journal entries 
• Assist with tracking banking records and reconciliations with high standard documentation related to various investments, including Hedge Fund, PE, Securities, Bonds, etc.  
• Assist with data automation project on reconciliation, finance close and reporting, and any ad-hoc projects as required 

 What you need to succeed   Skills Required: 

• 3rd or 4th year student majoring in Accounting or any other Finance related fields 
• Advanced MS Office and excellent Excel skills 
• Knowledge of Excel - VBA or Python language is an asset  
• Self-starter who volunteers for new opportunities and projects 
• Ability to work towards and meet agreed deadlines 
• Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills  
• Being fluent in both English and Chinese is considered as an asset.
