- Title: Full-Time Live-Out Family Assistant
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–6:30 PM (with availability outside of regular hours for urgent matters)
- Salary: $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience
- Start Date: Flexible / ASAP
- Relocation: No – local NYC candidates preferred
About the Family
An ultra-high-net-worth private family based in Manhattan, New York is seeking an exceptional Family Assistant to provide dedicated personal and administrative support to their 95-year-old matriarch. The principal leads a very active social, philanthropic, and cultural lifestyle and spends approximately six months per year outside of New York, rotating between New York City, Nantucket, and Palm Beach.
This is a highly trusted, personality-driven role suited for someone who is compassionate, kind, patient, and discreet, and who takes pride in providing seamless, thoughtful support. The right candidate will act as a steady, professional presence and an extension of the principal, ensuring her daily life runs smoothly while offering companionship and consistency.

- Home: Private Manhattan residence
- Household Staff: Aide, housekeeper, additional household staff, and a family office team in place
Responsibilities
- Serve as a personal administrative assistant to the principal
- Provide oversight of household administrative services
- Manage and maintain a complex personal calendar across multiple residences
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, including medical, social, cultural, and board-related engagements
- Accompany the principal to medical appointments, take detailed notes, and follow up as needed
- Coordinate extensive personal travel arrangements and prepare detailed itineraries
- Travel with the principal as needed, including the possibility of flying to Palm Beach at least once per month
- Act as a liaison with family office staff regarding property management, bill pay, and vendor relationships
- Oversee household staff scheduling and timesheet tracking
- Schedule and manage independent contractors, repairs, and maintenance
- Work both within the personal residence and offsite as needed
- Be available outside of standard work hours to address urgent matters
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Provide companionship and emotional support; this role is part caregiver, part assistant, part trusted presence

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Personal Assistant or Senior Administrative Assistant supporting high-level individuals
- Prior experience working with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families is a strong plus
- Experience supporting elderly principals is a plus
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Comfortable using Mac computers (family office uses Macs); does not need to be highly technical but must be a quick learner
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to collaborate effectively with family office and IT personnel
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Excellent, verifiable references
