YOUR CHALLENGE

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Family Office Solutions & Advisory Specialist is a member of the broader Wealth & Family Office Advisory (WFOA) team and shall endeavour to fulfil the ambitions defined and outlined by the Head of the Family Office Solutions & Advisory (FOSA) Asia team. He/she shall ensure active risk management and meet all regulatory and internal compliance expectations relating to the role. The incumbent will provide best-in-class innovative and bespoke solutions that cater to Asian family office clients as well as global families who wish to set up their Single Family Office (SFO) in Singapore.

The incumbent shall support relationship managers, clients and prospects and help with the development of innovative solutions to anchor and attract assets to the Bank. He/she shall provide an integrated client engagement and marketing of the SFO offering including regional roadshows to promote offering, propose innovation and bespoke solutions, connecting clients with best-in-class service providers (e.g. system vendors, lawyers, healthcare, education, relocation, etc.). In addition, he/she shall support the FOSA mandate to be the link for RMs / clients to the bank’s Global Product & Solutions (GPS) capabilities.

The incumbent shall also have regular dialogues with various Front representatives to kept abreast of client needs/demands, as well as collaborating with the UHNW centre of competence and other functions to help ensure that products and services offered to clients remain relevant and competitive. The incumbent shall also build highly effective relationships across the Bank to maintain and improve knowledge of the business and its latest products and services to optimise service to clients.

KEY FEATURES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Stakeholder Management

  • Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of expert services to our clients.
  • Coordinate projects with multiple stakeholders.

Client Management (internal & external)

  • Regular consultation with Front representatives to be kept updated of clients’ needs/demands and take appropriate measures to fulfil them, where relevant.
  • Support Relationship Managers in Key Client meetings.
  • Client complaint resolution.
  • Support the development and partnership process for innovative solutions to attract and anchor assets to the Bank.
  • Provide an integrated client engagement and marketing of the Single Family Office Offering including regional roadshows to promote offering, propose innovation and bespoke solutions, connecting clients with best-in-class service providers (e.g. system vendors, lawyers, healthcare, education, relocation, etc.)
  • Become the link for RMs / clients to the bank’s Global Products & Solutions capabilities.
  • Execute UHNW client acquisition/deepening strategies by rendering relevant expertise and closely collaborating with the UHNW centre of competence and other functions.

Business Management

  • Support review of the function’s practices to ensure efficiency and productivity at kept at optimal levels.
  • Monitor the products and services of competitors, keeping abreast of industry changes, service innovations and other developments which may impact the business.
  • Provide inputs/updates for the various management committees.
  • Support the development of initiatives and the maintenance and monitoring of existing projects where the team is the product owner.

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management

  • Meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements.
  • Adhere to all relevant Local User Manuals.
  • Conduct relevant internal control checks and reporting (i.e. ICS).
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

YOUR PROFILE

Personal and Social

Professional and Technical

  • Ideally with 5-10 years of relevant private banking knowledge and experience.
  • Proven track record experience in financial industry in Private Banking or Family Office industry in the APAC region.
  • Sound working knowledge and experience of advisory services for private clients within a law firm, fiduciary company accounting firm and/or private bank.
  • Strong technical credentials (legal/tax) and proficiency for professional client counselling and successful implementation of cross-border structures (trusts/foundations/companies/insurance structures and special finance transactions).
  • Broad base of financial skills relation to tax and estate planning, financial planning, accounting, banking and investments.
  • Experience in pre-IPO trust structuring and structures to hold operating businesses, would be a distinct advantage
  • High proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage as the role is required to work with and support Mandarin-speaking clients where the main language used in written and verbal communication is expected to be Mandarin
  • Able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Represent the Bank’s and shareholders’ interests at all times.
  • Strong commercial judgement, business acumen and broad understanding of the financial market and products.

Regulatory

  • Familiar with regulatory expectations and requirements.
