Job Overview 

The Family Office Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting procedures & reporting for Family Office clients. They will be responsible for maintaining updated financial records and preparing financial reports, as well as supporting the family office with cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a solid accounting background and initiative-driven with a problem-solving approach to business.

What You Will Do:

· Manage Cash Balances and Forecasts: Responsible for all bookkeeping and related record keeping for all associated family offices and associated entities. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and other transaction records for multiple entities. Assist with the development of forecasts or other analysis as needed.

· Budget Reconciliation and Reporting: Conduct thorough reviews of monthly statements, credit card receipts, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and provide timely insights to stakeholders on variance from planned budgets. Prepare cash flow models, and monitor investment accounting activities such as capital calls, distributions, and valuation updates.

· Financial Transactions: Coordinate with other team members, as needed, to process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payment and accurate billing. Proactively interface with custodians, banks, and related parties to address issues and drive key transactions forward. Maintain appropriate supporting documentation for all transactions.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

· Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university. Majors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. An equivalent blend of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

· Active CPA designation strongly preferred.

· 3+ years of experience in accounting or related finance role. Prior direct experience within the family office space preferred.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

· Strong ethical standards, integrity, and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.

· Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, and accounting software. Prior experience working with CRM preferred.
