Overview

The Director II, Family Office Solutions leads and cultivates complex Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) client relationships. This role serves as a trusted, strategic advisor and coordinator across all aspects of Wealth Management, helping UHNW clients navigate complex financial needs. The Director Family Office Solutions drives organic growth through client retention, relationship expansion, and the sourcing of new client relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Cultivate and manage deep, long-term relationships with Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) clients, serving as the central point of contact and trusted advisor for complex financial needs.
  • Develop referrals and leads from internal and external sources, including centers of influence working with UHNW clients.
  • Understand each client’s unique family dynamics, financial goals, and philanthropic aspirations.
  • Partner with a team of experts to develop and implement customized wealth management strategies for UHNW clients.
  • Orchestrate specialists to provide holistic financial services, including wealth structuring, credit facilities, banking, asset management, budgeting, insurance, charitable giving, wealth transfer, and tax services.
  • Develop tailored meeting agendas, presentations, and relationship timelines that provide proactive, targeted advice aligned to short-, medium-, and long-term client goals.
  • Review accounts to determine the banking, investment, and advisory needs of clients; anticipate and create opportunities to enhance client relationships.
  • Contribute to organic growth by expanding existing client relationships and sourcing new ones.
  • Actively participate in the development of new and integrated solutions to meet UHNW client needs.
  • Engage subject-matter experts, when appropriate, and close deals.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of new services and communicate emerging client needs.
  • Incorporate digital solutions and capabilities to enhance the overall client experience.

What Will Make You Successful in the Role

Knowledge

  • Extensive and specialized understanding of wealth management principles including investment, tax planning, estate planning, and family governance
  • Experience with executing and implementing across multiple disciplines, as well as synthesizing complex information
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for various audiences
  • Strong relationship management capabilities and high emotional intelligence
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate

Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, Economics)
  • 15+ years of industry experience, including significant experience in relationship management, portfolio management, and/or sales specifically with UHNW clients
  • MBA or post-graduate degree preferred
  • CFP, CPA, CFA, CTFA, CFM certificate preferred
  • Series 7 and 63
