Discover the Role
As Director, Head of Private Wealth & Family Office, you will lead the strategic growth and operational excellence of TMF Group’s Private Wealth & Family Office business. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving business development, strengthening client and intermediary relationships, overseeing the delivery of trust and fiduciary services, and leading a high-performing team. You will play a key role in shaping market strategy, identifying growth opportunities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering tailored solutions to high-net-worth individuals and family offices across the region.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, driving engagement with the local management team and on the ground.

• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting professional development.

• Identify and optimise opportunities for business growth and development to ensure continued success and expansion of the business.

• Promote and maintain TMF Group values amongst staff, business partners, clients and other stakeholders.

• Understand and provide Management with analysis of the private wealth landscape and opportunities locally and in the region.


Operational Excellence

• Lead staff in ensuring flawless service to clients, which includes overseeing the take on of new structures once these have been approved by new business committee, preparing, reviewing trust deeds and other ancillary documents, drafting letter of wishes, performing due diligence on clients, beneficiaries and related parties to the trust, incorporating underlying companies under the trust and opening of bank and investment accounts for the trust structure.

• Co-ordinate meetings of board of directors and management committee and assists in escalation of significant matters.

• Provide solutions to potential clients in terms of setting up of trusts and trustee services, and manage the client contracting process together with the Business Development teams and internal support functions. 

• Assist in designing and documenting the processes and procedures across all aspects of the delivery to our clients and relevant stakeholders.

• Assist in developing proposals that address clients’ needs, concerns and objectives.

• Responsible for maintaining a technical knowledge bank as it relates to Private Wealth and Trust Administration, training and communicating any updates and/or operational changes as necessary to the team.

• Use and familiarize with TMF’s technology offering and explore more tools which may assist in the delivery of end client solution.


Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and client stakeholders on a frequent basis, ensuring proper follow-ups and meetings, both in Singapore and overseas, as required.

• Liaise with local regulators, agents, lawyers, private bankers in various jurisdictions relating to trust administration issues.

• Work closely with Business Development teams in terms of business opportunities and expanding our offering through active participation in building/maintaining relationships with intermediaries, prospect meetings, solution engineering and potential workshops.

• Develop and maintain a network of intermediaries and client contacts that will enable a strong, consistent pipeline for conversion into sales.


Financial Management

• Strong drive to meet revenue targets, aligned with the company’s objectives.

• Prepare and provide business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and metrics of growing the private wealth and family office business.

• Identify and optimize sales opportunities, using knowledge of the market and competitors, as well as TMF’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

• Drive cross-selling opportunities, working with existing clients as they expand into or operate in other jurisdictions serviced by TMF offices across the globe.


Risk Management

• Effectively and collaboratively identifies, escalates, mitigates and resolves risk, conduct and compliance matters as they arise.

• Takes responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, maintains an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual and the team play in managing them.

• Ensures all regulatory and compliance initiatives surrounding the trustee services are identified and closed out in a timely and efficient manner.


Key Requirements

• Degree in business, accounting, law or finance.

• Diploma and/or certification in International Trust Management and Trust Administration.

• At least 10 years of experience in the Trust and Private Wealth space, with a track record of success in leading teams and building key stakeholder relationships. 

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful business strategies, driving growth and achieving financial targets. 

• Strong leadership with a forward-thinking approach to identify and capitalize on market trends and emerging opportunities.

• Written and spoken proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.

• Proven ability to manage change effectively, adapting operations to meet evolving business needs.
