Beyond PotentialsWe have been exclusively mandated in Monaco for a RARE Chief Technology Officer ( CTO) & Information Security role by a young and dynamic Multi Family Office. The company is building a next-generation integrated wealth & asset management platform, designed to support a multi-jurisdictional, multi-asset, and highly regulated financial environment. The future CTO will evolve in a very discrete, confidential and UHNW environment.
It is a crucial role for the company and the perfect project for a CTO looking to get involved in a super rare project in Monaco. We will carry a lot of attention to the candidates who started and created new IT environments from scratch or working nowadays in Tech/Banking/IA-sensitive environments.
Please note it is a newly created role.
In terms of responsibilities, the chosen one will be in charge of the following tasks :
-Define and own the technology strategy and target architecture.
-Design the core systems (Data platform, APIs, Consolidation and reporting engines, Client and internal applications.
-Select and optimize the cloud infrastructure.
-Build a scalable and cost-efficient toolstack.
-Ensure high standards in Information Security, Resilience (backup, disaster recovery, BCP), Data quality and Governance.
· Implement Agile / DevOps best practices and intelligent backlog management.
· Recruit, mentor, and lead internal teams and external partners.
· Act as a strategic partner to founders, investment teams, and compliance.
Requirements
In terms of profile, here is what we are looking for :
-7 to 15 years of experience as a CTO, Engineering Manager or Lead Architect in a Fintech, Investment or Private Banking.
-Masterâs Degree in Computer Science, IT or Tech-related degree
-Fluency in English and French
-Experience in Investment Banking, Financial Markets, Asset Management or Reporting & Consolidation is a must have.
-Strong architectural background and knowledge of Microservices, APIs, distributed systems, data-centric architectures.
-Deep knowledge of data platforms such as SQL / NoSQL / document stores, ETL pipelines, data governance, data quality.
-A Cloud expertise (Azure and/or AWSâ¦) including cost optimization will be needed.
-Strong programming background (e.g. Python, Angular, React, Java, .NETâ¦).
-An Exposure to AI-driven systems will be more than a strong advantage.
In terms of personality and leadership, we are looking for a young and dynamic CTO, able to start from scratch coding, think, execute and make things happen. We need a really good communicator, strategy driven and with a high technological curiosity and learning velocity. The right candidate needs to be Tech driven but also business driven as we need somebody able to explain easily things that are not.
