Senior Accountant
Full-Time | Onsite in Tavares, FL or in Winter Park, FL (Monday-Friday)

NOW CFO is partnering with a client in the wealth management and family office space to identify a skilled and driven Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to step into a leadership role within a dynamic and high-performing organization.
About the Role
The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, support strategic initiatives, and supervise a small team. The role includes managing multi-entity accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving process improvements. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong leadership skills. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys digging into the work and collaborating with external partners, rather than focusing on day-to-day team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Oversee multi-entity coordination and intercompany transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead the month-end close process and financial analysis reporting
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional development
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Manage systems (QuickBooks Desktop, financial platforms) and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Support external audits and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
Qualifications β Must Haves
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong background in multi-entity accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and analytical mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience in a family office, wealth management, or investment advisory setting
- CPA or CPA track
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
- Experience with financial platforms such as TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, Schwab
- Payroll systems experience (e.g., Paychex, PEO Coadvantage)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, modeling)
- Familiarity with real estate accounting and/or financial services
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 β $90,000 DOE
