About the Role

 

Have you been contemplating a change to commerce but enjoy the variety of working with multiple clients? We are currently looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Business Services team working with private family offices. 

Our team specialises in family office engagement, commercial & corporate advisory, and estate matters, helping families manage complex structures and transition wealth across generations. You will gain in-depth exposure to every aspect of their businesses, providing essential support in financial reporting, tax compliance, and strategic advisory. 

You would be working with family groups managing 10–20 entities (typically with assets of $40M–$60M) and clients with up to $100M in assets. Advisory work makes up around 35% of the role and continues to grow, including preparing monthly board papers and serving as a critical link between families, fund managers, and banks. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting and compliance requirements 
  • Support the preparation of complex, individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns  
  • Prepare and analyse management reports to clients, including assisting with monthly board papers  
  • Assist with the communication across the families, fund managers, banks and regulators 
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategies to simplify investment and operating structures 
  • Engage with stakeholders across family and corporate groups to support with establishing a legacy for future generations  
  • Gain hands-on experience across various aspects of business operations 

 

About You 

  • Experience in a commercial role or in Business Services within a professional services firm  
  • An interest in, or currently completing (or finished) a CA or CPA qualification 
  • Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability 
  • Inquisitive mindset  
  • Ability to build strong relationships
